Description:
Trainer Tom Albertrani plans to be on hand at Meydan March 26 to put the final touches on preparations for West Point Thoroughbreds' Twilight Eclipse, who is aiming for the $5 million Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-I) March 29.

As has been his routine since arriving in Dubai over the weekend, Twilight Eclipse made his way to the all-weather track as the sun rose at about 6:30 a.m. local time.

With assistant trainer Dave Wallace aboard, the 5-year-old son of Purim had an easy gallop going the Sheema Classic's distance of about 1 1/2 miles. It appeared to be the easiest of his gallops at Meydan, but the gelding was nonetheless energetic as he left the course to return to the stables.

"Can you walk fast?" Wallace joked as he was being interviewed as they headed down the seven-furlong chute.

"He traveled great. Just look at him," he added when asked how the horse was doing. "Tom (trainer Albertrani) will be here (Wednesday) morning and we'll decide if we will do something on the turf with him or keep him on (the all-weather)."

Fifteen horses were declared for the Dubai Sheema Classic, to be run on turf, and post-positions will be drawn March 26.
