Mixed Colors First Winner for Sire Mixmaster

Ohio-based freshman sire Mixmaster picked up his first winner Dec. 12 when Mixed Colors rallied from fourth to win the first race, a maiden special weight event for Ohio-breds, at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course.

Mixmaster, by Medaglia d'Oro  —Privileged Speech, by General Assembly, is a half brother to Brusque (Canaveral), Canada's champion 2-year-old filly of 2002. Mixmaster will stand the 2016 season for $1,000 at Poplar Creek Horse Center in Bethel, Ohio.

Bruce Ryan homebred Mixed Colors is the first starter from four foals in the first crop of Mixmaster. He is trained by Timothy Hamm and was guided to victory Saturday by Erwin Rosendo.
