TOBA Ownership Seminar Set for Keeneland

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will conduct a Thoroughbred Ownership Seminar Friday, April 18 at Keeneland
 
Confirmed speakers for the seminar, which is intended to educate attendees on a variety of topics related to racehorse ownership, include Mike McMahon of Bourbon Lane Stables, trainer Kellyn Gorder, Mark Taylor of Taylor Made Farm, Dr. Craig Van Balen of Van Balen Equine Associates, Matthew Delehanty of Lavin Insurance Services, Gary Falter of OwnerView, Susan Martin of Equineline.com, Rick Nunnelley of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC, Jen Shah of Dean Dorton Allen Ford and Erin Crady of Thoroughbred Charities of America. Additional speakers will be announced in the near future.
 
Topics to be discussed include owner/trainer relationship, racehorse acquisition, business topics, and online resources for owners, as well as Thoroughbred retirement.
 
Attendees also will participate in a unique "virtual ownership" segment on the backstretch of Keeneland, experiencing firsthand the activities on the backstretch leading up to the races. Trainers Ken McPeek and Barclay Tagg will be participating in this "virtual ownership" segment. The seminar will conclude with a buffet lunch in the Phoenix Room, followed by an afternoon of racing.
