Appollos Baby Girl drew off in the stretch to win a six-furlong maiden-claiming race by 4 3/4 lengths on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Hawthorne Race Course, becoming the first winner for Illinois-based stallion Live From Appollo .
Live From Appollo, an 11-year-old stakes-placed son of Maria's Mon, will stand the 2016 season for $500 at Ridgewood Farm near Villa Ridge, Ill.
Bred and raced by George Ditola, Appollos Baby Girl is the lone foal in the first crop of her sire. She was guided to victory by jockey Julio Felix for trainer Ingrid Mason. Live From Appollo currently has five yearlings.
