The Association of Racing Commissioners International on Thursday, Dec. 17 announced that its Uniform Classification Guidelines for Foreign Substances and Recommended Penalties and Model Rule has been updated going into the 2016 season.
The biggest change on the updated guidelines is the addition of the dopamine metabolite 3-Methoxytyramine (sometimes called 3-MT) as a Class 2, Penalty A substance. Class 2 substances have a high potential to affect performance.
RCI said some typographical errors on 13 substances were corrected.
