Randall Lowe's homebred Lady Shipman, the lightning quick turf sprinter who was a late-closing second in the TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (gr. IT) Oct. 31, will move from the barn of Kathleen O'Connell to trainer Kiaran McLaughlin.

McLaughin, who is presently on a cruise, confirmed Dec. 23 that he "will pick her up soon."

Lady Shipman strung together a four-race win streak during the summer in turf sprints in winning the Crank It Up Stakes and Klassy Briefcase Stakes at Monmouth Park by open lengths, then went to Saratoga Race Course and rattled off wins in the Coronation Cup Stakes Smart N Fancy Stakes, in which set a course mark of 1:00.46 for 5 1/2 furlongs.

In the fall she shipped to the Midwest where she was caught late by Ageless in the Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes at Keeneland prior to missing to Mongolian Saturday by a neck in the $1 million turf sprint.

In all Lady Shipman has an 8-2-2 mark from 12 starts and has earned $538,800.
