Grammy Award-winning musician Drake was at the NCAA Final Four weekend, including the Finals on Monday night rooting for the University of Kentucky Wildcats, and let’s just say that the final score left him a little downtrodden:

So we thought we’d make him a list of the top 10 reasons that he should go to the Kentucky Derby on May 3.
10. He really likes hanging out with athletes, and there’s every chance in the world that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady will be there:
9. He’s a guy who likes the spotlight, so maybe he’ll be able to hang out in the Winner’s Circle for the big race.
8. The man already has the perfect wardrobe for the Derby.
7. They offer legal gambling at the Derby. I mean, we’re not saying that Drake is that great at picking a winner, but a little bet here and there can keep things interesting.

6. After UK’s loss, Drake really looked like he could have used a beer (which they don’t sell at the NCAA Finals). Drake, the Derby offers mint juleps, just in case your aforementioned bets don’t work out.

5. Maybe he’ll run into last 2013 NCAA Basketball winning coach and racehorse owner Rick Pitino and they can talk about winning strategies.

4. Do we know who’s singing the National Anthem at the Derby this year? Because Drake would probably do a really great job.
3. We’re guessing that Drake’s never been in the jockeys’ room before, and we know that he loves going to the locker room:

2. He could bring a little of the Preakness to the Kentucky Derby and perform in the infield. We’re pretty sure everyone would be OK with that.
1. It would be nice for Drake to see a winner in Kentucky in 2014. Just sayin’.
