Belmont Sets Spring/Summer Meet Post Times

Belmont Park will have a first-race post time of 1:20 p.m. EDT on most race days during its 2014 spring/summer meet, which begins May 1 and concludes July 13. The time will remain unchanged from the current 1:20 p.m. first post at Aqueduct Racetrack.
There will be four "Party at the Park" cards, with twilight racing on the following Fridays: June 20, June 27, July 4, and July 11. First post on those days will be 3 p.m.
Belmont's first race will go off at noon on Kentucky Derby day May 3 and Preakness Day May 17, with 12 races scheduled for both days.
On Belmont Stakes day June 7, the first race will go off at 11:35 a.m. Belmont will card six grade I races and four other stakes on the Belmont Stakes program, which has become the second most lucrative day in North American racing with purses totaling $8 million.
