James Graham, who has been riding full-time in Southern California, is set to return to riding full-time at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots starting the week of Jan. 4.
The runaway winner of last year's jockey title at the New Orleans track will be represented by agent Mark Guidry.
After taking the 2014-15 Fair Grounds title, Graham has been riding California since the Del Mar summer meet. He mentioned a lack of take-off in business this winter as his reason for returning to Fair Grounds.
"Things have slowed down and I just need to go back where I'm comfortable," Graham said. "I can't sustain my family doing what we're doing right now, so I have to keep going, I have to find something new."
Graham was to fulfill his engagements this weekend at Santa Anita Park before heading east.
