Multiple graded stakes winner Sarah Sis will make her 4-year-old debut in the $100,000 American Beauty Stakes Jan. 23 at Oaklawn Park, according to trainer Ingrid Mason.
Mason said she'll use the six-furlong American Beauty as a prep for a return to two turns in the $100,000 Bayakoa Stakes (gr. III) Feb. 14 at Oaklawn. Sarah Sis posted a five-furlong bullet (1:00) work Jan. 8, a breeze that was fastest of 93 at the distance that day at Oaklawn.
"She's doing great," Mason said Jan. 14. "She worked great the other day, so I have to say she's ready to run."
Joe Ragsdale's Sarah Sis won 4 of 10 starts last year, and closed out the season with a win in the $250,000 Raven Run Stakes (gr. II) Oct. 17 at Keeneland. At last year's Oaklawn meet, she won the $150,000 Honeybee (gr. III) March 7 and placed in two other stakes.
