Gulfstream Park, located just north of Miami in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is the ultimate destination for wintertime fun. If you’re planning a trip to the track, I’ve put together five looks that are both affordable and stylish for a little fashion inspiration for a day at the races. While the most important thing to wear to the track is whatever makes you happy and comfortable, sometimes it’s fun to play dress-up at the races without breaking the bank. That’s why no individual piece below costs more than $50; and if you see an item you like, simply click on the collage to shop the look!

I love this paisley dress for $16 by BooHoo.com; it’s cute and comfortable, and perfect for the races. I added a pair of gold sandals from Aldo for $30 and a handbag for $40 from Daesin. I accessorized with a wide belt (Forever21, $9.90), a choker for $43 by OBEY, a stack of bangles for $18 by Bold Elements and a $23 oversized watch from Forever21. Finish off the look with a fascinator – I love this $23 number found on Amazon – and you’re off to the races for a total of $202.90.

It always seems a little retro to put on a big hat, so why not totally embrace that feeling and go full vintage-inspired for the races? I love this 50s silhouette frock from Lindy Bop for just $14 and I added a wide-brim straw hat for $7.60 found on Amazon. A pair of espadrilles for $31 by Bellemarie and a classic $14 RomWe pocketbook perfectly embellish the look without being too costume-y; as do the $8.90 Forever21 bracelet, the $25 Kate Spade earrings and the $16 Pixie Market sunnies. From hat to toe, this whole look will only set you back $116.50, which should leave you plenty of leftover money for playing the ponies!

Feeling a little more modern? Then this outfit is perfect for a day of racing, South Florida-style. I started with a pair of shorts in a floral print for $18 by Yoins; then I layered a bright tank ($8.90, RomWe) under a sharp blazer for $25 by SheIn. The Go Jane wedges are somehow only $7.90, and the Yes Style handbag – I love the unexpected pop of purple – is $46. Throw on a pair of statement earrings (these are $6 from Charlotte Russe) and a killer pair of sunglasses (these $17 Betsey Johnson versions incorporate both the purple of the handbag and the brown of the wedges) and you’re raceday-ready for just $128.80.

A classic look is always a good call at the races, and I love the understated style of this $27 skirt from Studio. The pintucked blouse is $27 by Michael Kors Plus, and the belt is perfect at just $15 from Lane Bryant. Add a pair of gladiator sandals ($29, Koh Koh) and an Eton blue purse ($29, Style Moi), then finish off the look with a fascinator for $13 found on Amazon and a fish pendant necklace (which I need!) for $6.32 by Yes Style. This timeless look can be yours for $146.32!

Jumpsuits have such a Miami vibe, and I love this $39 version from Genuine People. I added a $30 MG sunhat, plus a pair of $40 Aldo sandals (and a pair of $22 foldable Fit In Clouds flats to tuck in the $32 WithChic purse, because come on. Those heels are high.) A $14 layered charm necklace from Genuine People and a $14 Panacea stone cuff complete the boho vibe of the ensemble, and a swipe of MAC’s All Fired Up lipstick ($17) gives you one more pop of color. All together, this look adds up to $208, which should leave you a little cash for cocktails and bets.
