Godolphin's multiple graded stakes winner Frosted will make his Dubai debut Feb. 4 in the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 Sponsored by EGA (UAE-II), his first start since finishing seventh in the Oct. 31 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) at Keeneland.

The Tapit   colt opens his 4-year-old season in the 1900-meter (about 1 3/16-mile) test, which drew a field of nine including another Kiaran McLaughlin trainee, Elnaawi, and Zayat Stables' 8-year-old campaigner Prayer for Relief. Frosted is slated to depart post 5 with William Buick in the irons. Post time is 11:45 a.m. ET.

McLaughlin will use the Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 as a prep for Frosted's anticipated run in the March 26 Dubai World Cup (UAE-I), in which he is expected to meet 2014 Horse of the Year California Chrome   and fellow U.S.-based rival Keen Ice. There is a possibility Frosted could have one more run before the World Cup—the March 5 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 3 (UAE-II), which is expected to include Keen Ice should that runner's prep in the Feb. 6 Donn Handicap (gr. I) go as planned.

Both of Frosted's graded victories came at the nine-furlong distance. He won the TwinSpires.com Wood Memorial (gr. I) last April, and came back in September to take the Pennsylvania Derby (gr. II). But he also proved he can handle longer races when running second to Triple Crown winner American Pharoah   in the 1 1/2-mile Belmont Stakes (gr. I).
