My Miss Sophia and Got Luckytwo fillies trained by Todd Pletcherwent through their final paces in preparation for the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) when they breezed four furlongs in :49 2/5 at Churchill Downs April 26.

With My Miss Sophia on the inside, the stablemates were timed in fractional splits of :12 1/5 and :24 2/5 for a quarter mile. They galloped out six furlongs in 1:15. On a busy work tab at the Louisville track, the time was the co-34th best of 75 horses working that distance.

"They went off at a nice pace and finished well," Pletcher said. "We normally breeze our horses in company and they both just ran in the same race."

In the April 5 Gazelle Stakes (gr. II) at Aqueduct Racetrack, My Miss Sophia rolled to an impressive 7 1/4-length romp over Got Lucky and grade I winner Sweet Reason.

A daughter of Unbridled's SongWildwood Flower, by Langfuhr, My Miss Sophia races for Mathis Stable. The $260,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase bred in Kentucky by John D. Gunther broke her maiden by 11 lengths in her second career start.

Got Lucky, a daughter of A.P. IndyMalka, by Deputy Minister, is a Kentucky homebred racing for Hill 'n' Dale Equine Holdings and Philip J. Steinberg. She has a maiden win and four second-place finishes in five career starts.

In addition to the Gazelle, Got Lucky finished a distance second to Oaks points leader Untapable in the Rachel Alexandra Stakes (gr. III) at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.
