Xpressbet New Title Sponsor of Florida Derby

Online wagering provider Xpressbet has signed on as the title sponsor of Gulfstream Park's preeminent races for 3-year-olds, the Florida Derby (gr. I) and Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. II).
 
The Xpressbet.com Fountain of Youth Stakes, to be run Feb. 27, and Xpressbet.com Florida Derby, set for April 2, are two of North America's leading Triple Crown prep races with winners traditionally participating in some or all of the spring classics: the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes (all gr. I).
 
The winner of this year's Florida Derby will receive 100 points on the "Road to the Kentucky Derby," with the Fountain of Youth victor securing 50 points, virtually assuring each winner a place in the starting gate for the 142nd Run for the Roses May 7.
 
Xpressbet, which is owned by Gulfstream parent company The Stronach Group, will provide exclusive handicapping insights and analysis for both races in the form of its popular and "Wager Guides."
