Barbados Gold Cup to Air on HRRN

Sayler's Creek, back to defend Barbados Gold Cup win.

Horse Racing Radio Network announced it will host an historic broadcast of the Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup live from Garrison Savannah in Barbados on Saturday, March 5.



Coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET and will be aired throughout North America on SiriusXM satellite radio (Sirius 83/XM 201), with worldwide streaming provided on the HRRN website. Mike Penna will anchor the coverage alongside analyst Jude Feld of the broadcast that will be HRRN's first from an international venue.



Among the U.S,-based horses entered in the 1 1/8-mile turf test with a purse of $214,000 (US$107,000) and local grade I designation are Ken and Sarah Ramsey's duo of defending champion Sayler's Creek and Watchyourownbobber, both trained by Mike Maker, and stakes winners Derby Kitten and  Dorsett. The Ramseys will be seeking their third straight Gold Cup win, having taken the 2014 renewal with Major Marvel.
