Social Inclusion Ready to Ship to Pimlico

Social Inclusion, third-place finisher in the Twinspires.com Wood Memorial (gr. I) last month, has recovered sufficiently from a bruised foot to travel to Pimlico Race Course, where he will be prepared for the May 17 Preakness Stakes (gr. I).
Rontos Racing Stable's son of Pioneerof the Nile was scratched from the May 3 Sir Bear Stakes at Gulfstream Park after the injury to his right front foot was discovered the morning of the race. He will board a van May 7 to make the journey to Baltimore from trainer Manny Azpurua's South Florida base.
"We're leaving tomorrow morning around 10 and will get there early Thursday morning," said Rontos Racing's Ron Sanchez. "He'll jog tomorrow before he leaves."
Social Inclusion won his first two races by a combined 17 1/2 lengths at Gulfstream Park before finishing third, beaten just a nose for second by Samraat, in the Wood Memorial April 5 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Social Inclusion was bred in Kentucky by Robert Tillyer, Martin Keogh, and Dr. Chet Blackey out of the Saint Ballado mare Saint Bernadette. Rontos Racing purchased the colt for $60,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September yearling sale from consignor Betz Thoroughbreds.
Among other probables for the Preakness, Kaleem Shah's Arkansas Derby (gr. I) third-place finisher Bayern breezed five furlongs in :58 1/5 at Churchill Downs May 5 and emerged in good order, according Baffert's assistant trainer Jim Barnes.
The son of Offlee Wild was disqualified from first to second in the Derby Trial (gr. III) April 26 at Churchill.
Susan Magnier, Derrick Smith, Michael Tabor's Pablo Del Monte, who was scratched from the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) to wait for the Preakness, is scheduled to be flown to Baltimore on May 14.
An also-eligible for the Derby, the son of Giant's Causeway got a chance to draw into the race, in which he would have started from the far outside post 20, prompting his connections to bypass the race.
