Its Allabout Jerry Oregon Horse of the Year

Rancho Viejo and Lisa Baze's Its Allabout Jerry has been named 2015 Oregon-bred Horse of the Year in state championship results recently announced by the Oregon Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.

Racing exclusively at Emerald Downs in 2015, Its Allabout Jerry registered a 4-2-1 record and $52,658 in earnings from eight starts last season. The son of Grindstone also was named champion 3-year-old male. Its Allabout Jerry was bred by Dr. and Mrs. Jack Root Jr. He is trained by Rigoberto Velasquez.

2-year-old male: Sam the Lion, owner-breeder—Robert Clary

2-year-old filly: Highway Fortyseven, owner—Barbara Eakin, Patrick Cosgrove, and Jonathan Nance. Breeder—Patrick Cosgrove

3-year-old filly: Alpine Heir, owner-breeder—Gary and Elaine Swan

Older male: Carl Command, owner—Lias Baze. Breeder—James Lea Jr.
