Trainer Alfredo Velazquez, best known for saddling Private Zone to a pair of grade I victories in 2014, secured the 1,000th North American training win of his career March 15.
Velazquez secured the milestone win in the first race on the March 15 card at Parx Racing when he sent out Rosie My Way to a front-running win in the six-furlong claiming race. Anita Racing Stable's Rosie My Way was guided to victory by jockey Lane Luzzi.
