Kaleem Shah's Fantastic Style, last seen racing July 11 during an impressive score in the Great Lady M Stakes (gr. II), is scheduled to make her 4-year-old debut March 20 in the $100,000 Las Flores Stakes (gr. III) at Santa Anita Park.
The Bob Baffert-trained daughter of Harlan's Holiday has a 4-1-1 record from six starts, but broke through for her first graded win in the Great Lady M and did so by an emphatic 3 1/2 lengths over grade II winner Living The Life and Sunday Rules. It is Sunday Rules' only loss in nine starts to date.
ANGST: Fantastic Style Overwhelms Great Lady M Field
Doubledown Stables' Ben's Duchess is the only other graded winner in the field—she closed to win the Oct. 4 L.A. Woman (gr. III)—but Finest City wasn't far off two starts back.
The Seltzer Thoroughbreds-owned City Zip filly was just a head back behind Lost Bus in the Jan. 23 Santa Monica (gr. II), but finished third in her last start, a Feb. 11 allowance/optional claimer.
Graded stakes-placed Amaranth, stakes winner Cadet Roni, and last-out allowance winner Sensitively complete the field.
