The 2013 edition of the Glens Falls Stakes, which was scheduled for the turf as a grade III but moved to the dirt Sept. 2 at Saratoga Race Course, will be considered a listed stakes race.
The American Graded Stakes Committee reviewed the race and determined that the original grade will not be reinstated. It is AGSC policy to automatically downgrade scheduled turf races that are moved to the dirt and then consider reinstatement of the original status.
Live Oak Plantation's Lady Cohiba posted a half-length victory in the 1 1/8-mile race on a muddy track, defeating six other fillies and mares. The victory is the third career stakes win for Lady Cohiba, a 4-year-old daughter of Broken Vow .
