Keeneland Meet Offers Complete Live Coverage

Keeneland's spring meet will be broadcast live on multiple platforms, including national television, local radio networks and Keeneland.com, as part of extensive coverage of the 16-day season that opens Friday, April 8.

The April 9, $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (gr. I), an important prep for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network from 5-7 p.m. EDT. Post time for the Blue Grass is 6 p.m.

The telecast also will include coverage of the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (gr. I), a major prep for the Longines Kentucky Oaks (gr. I).

Fans can also follow the meet live each race day via TVG and Keeneland.com.

TVG will provide extensive, on-site live coverage daily beginning at 1 p.m., except for April 9 and April 16, when first post is 12:35 p.m.

TVG's coverage includes the Blue Grass, Ashland, the $350,000, grade I Madison, and the $250,000, grade III Commonwealth on April 9. These races will also be aired on Fox 56 in Lexington from 5-7 p.m.

Throughout the spring season, additional TVG coverage from Keeneland will air on FOX Sports affiliates, including FSN Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports Sun and FOX Sports Southeast. Times can be found at www.foxsports.com/tv-listings.

"Today at Keeneland," Lexington's nightly race recap show, will also provide meet coverage. It airs on The CW Lexington at 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and on TVG the following day. Check listings at tvg.com.
 
Horse Racing Radio Network will provide live coverage of Keeneland, including the "Equine Forum" weekly show on April 9, 16, 22, and 29 from 8-10 a.m. On April 9 at 4 p.m. HRRN will broadcast the Blue Grass, Ashland, and Madison stakes and the April 16 stakes races, starting starting at 4 p.m.
 
HRRN can be heard throughout North America on SiriusXM channel 83 and is streamed worldwide on its website, horseracingradio.net.
 
"Kentucky Winner's Circle" will air live from Keeneland on Friday, April 8 and 15, and Saturday, April 9 and 16, from 2-4 p.m. in the Louisville radio market. The Friday shows will be broadcast on WXVW The Sports Buzz 1450 AM and streamed live at www.1450thesportsbuzz.com, while the Saturday shows will air on WKRD 790 AM and be streamed live at 790krd.iheart.com.
 
"Keeneland Magazine on TV" will air on April 7 at 10 p.m. on The CW Lexington. The show chronicles stories about Central Kentucky that are in the print edition of Keeneland magazine.
 
One of this spring's features is about Wayne Lyster and his family, who bred and raised last year's sprint champion Runhappy at their Ashview Farm.
