City Zip , who also was honored as Canada's champion turf female and champion 2-year-old filly when Canada's Sovereign Awards were presented April 8 at
Woodbine, won the Herecomesthebride (gr. IIIT) Feb. 27 in her season debut at
Gulfstream Park after capping a three-race 2015 win streak, all on turf, in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (gr. IT) at the Lexington track.
She is conditioned by Mark Casse, who won his ninth Sovereign Award as outstanding trainer.
Florent Geroux, who has been aboard Catch a Glimpse for her past three wins, retains the mount on the filly, who will break from post 8.
Trained by Brian Lynch, Baciami Piccola won the Florida Oaks (gr. III) in her U.S. debut March 12 at
Tampa Bay Downs. A winner of two of her four starts, which include stakes-placings in France and Italy, the daugher of
Equiano will be ridden by Julien Leparoux and start from the far outside post.
Ava's Kitten finished fifth in the Florida Oaks as the favorite in her 2016 debut. Trained by Chad Brown, the duagher of
Kitten's Joy won the mile Chelsey Flower Stakes last October on the
Belmont Park turf. She will be ridden by Javier Castellano and break from post 5.
