Fasig-Tipton Catalogs 598 for Midlantic Sale

Fasig-Tipton has cataloged 598 entries for its Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale that will be held May 23-24 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The sale, with sessions at 10 a.m. daily, begins two days following the 141st renewal of the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course May 21.
“The strength of this sale in recent years has once again generated a larger catalog with increased quality across the board,” said Midlantic sales director Paget Bennett. “Nineteen of the current top 20-ranked stallions on this year’s general sire list are represented in the catalog.”
A release from Fasig-Tipton said that 115 graduates of the Midlantic juvenile sale have won or placed in stakes in 2015 and thus far in 2016.
“A larger catalog, a dirt racetrack, and a tradition of graduate performance at the highest levels make this a sale that every serious buyer should plan on attending,” Bennett said.
The under tack show has been expanded to three sessions-—May 17-19. Each under tack show session will begin at 8 a.m.
The catalog may now be viewed online and will be available via the equineline sales catalog app soon. Print catalogs will be available by April 22.
