Hip 242, a Florida-bred son of Shackleford, went a quarter in :20 3/5.

Workouts for next week's Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's April spring sale of 2-year-olds in training continued April 12, with three horses equaling the fastest previous breeze time for a furlong and one juvenile equaling the top quarter-mile time.

The three juveniles that worked the fastest eighth of a mile, :09 4/5, which had been established during Monday's first of six under tack sessions, were Hips 305, 323, and 395.

A son of Haynesfield   consigned by Cary Frommer as agent, Hip 305 descends from a strong female family that includes top race mare and producer Personal Ensign. The colt's second dam, Pennant Champion, by Mr. Prospector, is a sister to grade I winners Miner's Mark and Traditionally and a half sister to grade I winner My Flag.

Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, the colt was purchased for $25,000 by Barry Berkelheimer from James B. Keogh's consignment at last year's Keeneland September yearling sale.

Hip 323, a son of Flatter  , also has a strong pedigree, with third dam Safely Kept a champion sprinter. Consigned by James Brewer, the Florida-bred colt was a $70,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase by Champion Racing Stable from the Dynasty Thoroughbreds consignment.

A son of Macho Uno   consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales, Hip 395 descends from the family of grade II winner Silver Wizard. Bred in Kentucky by T/C Stable, the colt was bought by his consignor for $85,000 at the Keeneland September sale last year.

The quarter-mile breeze time of :20 3/5 that equaled Monday's fastest time was turned in by Hip 242, a Florida-bred son of Shackleford   from Envision Equine's consignment. From the family of grade I winner El Brujo, the colt was bred by English Range Farm.

The under tack shows continue at 8 a.m. daily through April 16 for the April 19-22 sale.
