Hip 40, a filly by Too Much Bling, worked an eighth of a mile in :10 1/5.

A Texas-bred filly by Too Much Bling   worked an eighth of a mile in :10 1/5 as the fastest worker during the April 2 under tack show for the Texas 2-year-olds in training sale at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Tx.

Bred by W. S. Farish the filly is consigned by Asmussen Horse Center, agent, as Hip 40. The filly was produced from the winning Action This Day mare Soft Music and is from the female family of grade II-placed Laddie Boy.

The April 4 sale, which was previously managed by Fasig-Tipton in partnership with the Texas Thoroughbred Association and Lone Star Park, is now being conducted jointly by the TTA and the track. The sale begins at noon CDT at the Texas Thoroughbred sale pavilion on the grounds of Lone Star.

Second-fastest time for a furlong was the :10 2/5 timing for Hip 47, a daughter of Intimidator produced from the unraced Candy Ride   mare Trifolium. Named Country Candy, the filly bred in Texas by Keith Asmussen is also consigned by Asmussen Horse Center.

From two horses working a quarter-mile, a Kentucky-bred filly from the first crop of Gemologist   posted the fastest clocking of :22 3/5. The filly consigned as Hip 11 by Brody Veal, agent, was produced from the Malibu Moon   mare Moon Music, a half sister to grade III winner Euphony, and is a half sister to stakes winner Uncle Brennie. She was bred in Kentucky by Doug Branham and Felicia Branham and Doug Branham and was purchased by B. and G. Veal and M. Whitelaw for $10,000 from the Eaton Sales consignment to the 2015 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October sale.

Rather than go through a timed workout, 10 horses entered in the sale galloped during the under tack show.

Videos of the breeze show will be posted later April 2 at www.texasthoroughbred.com and the sale will be live streamed Monday. The catalog is also available on the TTA website.
