Hip 1102, a colt by Tapit, was a late withdrawal.

The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s April spring 2-year-olds in training sale lost some of its star power during the April 22 closing session when Hip 1102, a striking Tapit   colt, was a late withdrawal.

Consigned by Bridlewood, the colt produced from the multiple stakes-winning Forestry mare Maple Forest breezed an eighth of a mile in :10 2/5 during the under tack pre-sale workouts and was projected as one of the top horses in the sale.

Bred in Kentucky by Blue Heaven Farm, the colt was purchased by Bridlewood and Three Chimneys Farm for $500,000 at the 2015 Keeneland September yearling sale.

He will be campaigned by Bridlewood and Three Chimneys.
