Equibase announced California Chrome's quest to become Thoroughbred racing's 12th Triple Crown winner helped drive unprecedented traffic across all Equibase electronic platforms.

Traffic reached a record 11.5 million pageviews on Equibase.com, the Today's Racing app, and mobile.equibase.com, according to Google Analytics for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), and the Belmont Stakes (gr. I). That represents a 28% percent increase over the nine million pageviews during the comparable three days in 2013.

"The California Chrome story resonated beyond the racing world and exposed our great sport to many new fans during this year's Triple Crown, and Equibase was once again able to provide a wide variety of free data before and after each race through our Stats Central information and profile pages to help these fans further enjoy and engage with our sport," said Hank Zeitlin, Equibase president and chief operating officer.

This year's total included single-day records of 4 million pageviews for the Derby, 3.5 million page views for the Preakness Stakes, and a single-day record for the Belmont.
