Tampa Bay Derby winner Destin is ready to head to Kentucky.

Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby (gr. II) winner Destin breezed at Palm Beach Downs April 23 in his final South Florida tune-up ahead of a scheduled start in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I).

Twin Creeks Racing Stables' son of Giant's Causeway was timed in 1:00.32 for five furlongs while working in company with Savoy Stomp (1:00 4/5), who finished fourth in the Skip Away (gr. III) April 2 at Gulfstream Park last time out.

"He worked very well. I'm really happy with the way he's doing," trainer Todd Pletcher said of Destin. "He put in a very solid breeze with a really good gallop out."

Destin finished second in an optional claiming allowance at Gulfstream in December before running fourth in the Lecomte (gr. III) at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots and earning a Kentucky Derby berth with victories in the Sam F Davis (gr. III ) Feb. 13 and the Tampa Bay Derby March 12.
