First Foal for J J's Lucky Train

Bay colt out of Marietta's Charm is the first reported foal by J J's Lucky Train.

The first reported foal by grade III stakes winner J J's Lucky Train is a colt born on April 14, at O'Sullivan Farm in Charles Town, W.Va.

The bay colt was bred by Diana McClure and Michael Cooney's Carousel Stable of Berryville, Va. He is out of Marietta's Charm, a winning daughter of Wolfhound, who has produced multiple winners, including six-figure earner Mary Boppins.

"He has good bone and is a nice, strong individual already," McClure said.

J J's Lucky Train, a son of millionaire Silver Train, earned $463,340 in his career, including wins in the grade III Bay Shore Stakes and Miracle Wood Stakes, as well as on the board finishes in the grade I Haskell Invitational Stakes.

J J's Lucky Train stood his first year at stud in West Virginia at Blue Spruce Farm. He has since moved to Virginia to live with his owner, Dr. Anna Simms.  J J's Lucky Train is spending the breeding season at Little Hawk Farm in Crozier, Va.
