NBC Sports Group and Horse Racing Radio Network have set their schedules for coverage of Preakness Stakes (gr. I) week at Pimlico Race Course.
The Preakness, second leg of the Triple Crown, will be part of a broadcast on NBC that begins at 5 p.m. EDT May 21. NBC Sports Network will offer coverage May 20, the day the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (gr. II) is scheduled, beginning at 3 p.m. NBCSN will return at 2:30 p.m. Saturday for pre-Preakness coverage.
HRRN will return to Pimlico with live radio coverage beginning May 18 at 4 p.m. with a one-hour program on the Maryland Thoroughbred industry, followed by live coverage of the Preakness post position draw from 5-6 p.m.
On May 20 HRRN will provide live coverage of the Black-Eyed Susan beginning at 4 p.m. On May 21 HRRN will broadcast its "Equine Forum" show from 8-9 a.m. and return at 2 p.m. for Preakness day coverage.
