Lexington Horseman Randolph Dies

Richard (Dick) Fitz Randolph, founder of Randolph Farm near Versailles, Ky., died May 15 at age 77.

Randolph worked as the yearling manager at Spendthrift Farm in the late 1970s. He founded Randolph Farm in 1980. After selling Randolph Farm, Randolph retired and stayed in Lexington.

Randolph initially worked with Saddle Horses in Marietta, Ga., Woodside, Calif., and Mexico, Mo. He judged and managed horse shows in Florida.

He is survived by son Fitz Randolph and daughter Debra Randolph, sister Bette Lee Free, and three grandchildren.
