Velasquez to Ride Full-Time at Gulfstream

Jockey Cornelio Velasquez, who has earned five riding titles at New York Racing Association tracks and has won four Breeders' Cup races, is moving his tack to Gulfstream Park.
Velasquez will accept mounts beginning June 1, according to Gulfstream officials, and will be represented by agent Kevin Meyocks.
A winner of more than 3,700 races and $164 million in purses, Velasquez said he wants to relocate to South Florida to spend more time with family.
"With year-round racing taking off at Gulfstream Park, I want to be part of that excitement and I look forward to riding there full time," Velasquez said.
