It’s called the “people’s race” and the “people’s party,” and with that comes a certain freedom, especially with a slogan urging you to “Get Your Preak On!” The forecast is rain but that doesn’t scare off this crowd. There is a pulse, a beat and a feeling of bon vivant. This crowd knows it’s going to rain and it’s no problem! It’s OK because this is their Preakness. It’s their day!
