Trainer Danny Pish hits 2,000 career wins at Lone Star Park May 30

Texas-based trainer Danny Pish grabbed the 2,000th victory of his career May 30 when Jerry Durant and Bill Jordan's U S Officer won his debut by three lengths in the second race at Lone Star Park.

Since saddling his first Thoroughbred in 1995, Pish boasts 2,000 wins from 11,835 starts and purse earnings of $28.4 million. Pish, who has a training center in Cibolo, Texas, has 83 stakes wins in his career.

Some of Pish's top multiple stakes winners include Got Shades, Daddy Warbucks, Goosey Moose, Leaving On My Mind, Action Tonight, and I'm Allthat.

Bred in Kentucky by Durant, U S Officer, by U S Ranger  , completed the five furlong maiden special weight race in :58.73.
