The little girl studied the handful of markers and reached out for the pink one. It matched her fleece jacket covered with hearts. She walked up to the life size white fiberglass horse and steadied her hand on its leg. She was asked “What would you name this horse?” Slowly and ever so carefully with the attention of an artist she wrote one letter at a time; PONY and embellished it with a pink heart.
