We all go through transitions. Some are beginnings while others are conclusions. Sadly, the transition to glory sometimes means we have to say good-bye. Horse racing is a series of continuous transitions. From the time a foal is born, they are on the move. Training, conditioning, sales, maiden races, and shifting from one barn to another when they are sold or claimed. For some, when their racing career ends, it’s off to be a broodmare or stand at stud. It can be very hard for those who have taken care of them daily. Spending so much time together can build a loving connection.
