Belmont Park took center stage in the horse racing universe on June 11 as the Elmont, N.Y. track hosted the 148th edition of the Belmont Stakes among six Grade 1 races. In addition to the final jewel of U.S. racing's Triple Crown, Belmont hosted a pair of Breeders' Cup Challenge Series "Win and You're In" races, the Ogden Phipps Stakes which grants the winner a berth in the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff and the Mohegan Sun Metropolitan Handicap which offers the victor a spot in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile.
