Stays in Vegas, Be Mine Back for Honeymoon

Stays in Vegas and Be Mine, only a head apart last time out in the Senorita (gr. IIIT) May 7, will be back for another graded grass stakes at Santa Anita Park June 19 in the $200,000 Honeymoon (gr. IIT).

Jungle Racing, KMN Racing, and LNJ Foxwoods' Stays in Vegas earned her first graded victory after a battle to the wire with Agave Racing Stable and Little Red Feather Racing's Be Mine in the mile Senorita, but both will be stretching out to 1 1/8 miles for the first time Sunday.

Both Stays in Vegas, a 3-year-old City Zip   filly, and Be Mine, a daughter of Twirling Candy  , have done little wrong in their respective careers. Stays in Vegas, trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, is a four-time stakes winner—three on turf, one on dirt—and is grade I-placed on dirt. Be Mine's runner-up finish in the Senorita is the only loss of her three-race career. The Phil D'Amato-trained runner broke her maiden in her debut at Tampa Bay Downs in February for previous trainer Kathleen O'Connell and claimed her first start for D'Amato by 5 1/2 lengths in an April starter allowance at Santa Anita.

Decked Out, who finished fourth in the Senorita but was only a length behind the top pair, is the only other graded stakes winner in the field of 10 3-year-old fillies. The daughter of Street Boss   was an impressive winner in the 1 1/8-mile Providencia (gr. IIIT) April 9 and is one of two fillies entered with a win at the distance, along with last-out allowance victress Lady Valeur.

Completing the field are graded stakes-placed Jeremy's Legacy and Sutton's Smile, stakes winner Cheekaboo, stakes-placed How Unusual, and last-out allowance winners Gone to Bali and Where's the D.
