Jessica Owers is among Australia’s preeminent racing authors with two award-winning biographies – Peter Pan: The Forgotten Story of Phar Lap’s Successor, and Shannon, the story of a Sydney horse exported to California in 1947 that retired as America’s second-highest earner in 1948, behind only the mighty Citation. It is credited as “one of the best books ever written about Australian racing.” Jessica lives in Sydney with her husband and young son, and is currently writing her third racing book.
