Editor's Note: Due to the thousands of names submitted in a couple of days, this contest had to be closed earlier than scheduled. BloodHorse.com and Southern Equine Farm appreciate the enthusiasm and creativity of everyone who participated.

Visitors to Bloodhorse.com will have the exclusive chance to name the eye-catching, white-headed Thoroughbred foal born June 5 at Mike Moreno’s Southern Equine Farm near Midway, Ky. Just leave your suggested name in the comments section under this article. Entries will be accepted through June 27.

In addition, Moreno has announced he will make a $5,000 donation to the Saratoga chapter of the Racetrack Chaplaincy, which aids backstretch workers, in the name of the person whose entry is selected as the winning name of the foal.

The foal, pictured here, is a colt by Bodemeister   out of the Bernardini   mare Out for Revenge. He is from the family of grade II winner and stallion Tale of the Cat and European champion Minardi.

Names can be no more than 18 characters, which includes spaces.

“In 35 years in the industry I’ve never seen a Thoroughbred like this,” said Eric Guillot, who trains for Southern Equine.

Southern Equine sold the first foal from Out for Revenge, now named Silencer, for $300,000 at the 2015 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July yearling sale.

Southern Equine officials will select the winning entry.
