Owner Rick Porter said June 19 he has moved multiple graded stakes-placed Normandy Invasion to the barn of trainer Larry Jones.

Normandy Invasion, a 4-year-old Tapit   colt, has been trained by Chad Brown. Porter, on his Fox Hill Farm website, indicated Normandy Invasion needs a change of scenery.

Brown is based in New York. Jones currently has his entire stable at Delaware Park.

"I consider Chad Brown a fine trainer and a personal friend, but we just haven't had the right luck together with 'Normandy' and I need to try something new," Porter said.

Normandy Invasion, sidelined after a good fourth-place finish in last year's Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), returned to the races this year. He started his season with a victory in a Gulfstream Park allowance race in track-record time of 1:33.13 for one mile on a fast track.

He then finished second behind Palace Malice in the grade II New Orleans Handicap, and most recently checked in 10th in the Metropolitan Handicap (gr. I), which also was won by Palace Malice.

At 2, Normandy Invasion finished second to Overanalyze   in the Remsen Stakes (gr. II), and at 3 finished second to Verrazano   in the Wood Memorial Stakes (gr. I).
