Patricia Generazio's homebred Pure Sensation claimed his second straight grade III victory sprinting on the turf July 9 in the $200,000 Parx Dash Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Parx Racing.
Just like his win June 11 in the Jaipur Invitational Stakes (gr. IIIT), the 5-year-old Zensational gelding led at every call in the Parx Dash and won by 2 1/4 lengths. Power Alert checked in second, two lengths clear of Ben's Cat.
Pure Sensation, trained by Christophe Clement, ran the first quarter in :22.50 and hit the half in :45.29, before finishing off the five furlongs in :57.35 on yielding turf.
Off as the 9-5 favorite in the field of eight, Pure Sensation paid $5.60, $3, $2.60 across the board. Power Alert brought $6.20 and $3.60, and Ben's Cat delivered $2.80 to show.
Bred in Florida out of the Disco Rico mare Pure Disco, Pure Sensation has a 6-4-2 record from 17 starts and earnings of $748,415. He also won the 2015 Turf Monster Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Parx.
