Martin Racing Stables' Senora Acero veered out at the start, but was settled in fifth in the seven-horse field for the one-mile maiden special weight race on the turf. Jockey Marcelino Pedroza angled her eight wide entering the stretch and she shot past the front-runner to secure a convincing win in 1:41.74 for trainer Bret Calhoun.
