Mike Rogers of The Stronach Group was elected, while owner/breeder Fred Hertrich III and Clem Murphy of Coolmore Stud were re-elected, to the 14-member Breeders' Cup board of directors.
The three directors, all of whom will serve four-year terms, were elected by the 44 Breeders' Cup members. The results were announced July 13.
The full board, in alphabetical order, is as follows: Barbara Banke, Stonestreet Stables; Antony Beck, Gainesway Farm; Bill Farish (chairman), Lane's End Farm; Bobby Flay, owner; Craig Fravel, Breeders' Cup president and chief executive officer; Hertrich; Roy Jackson, Lael Stables; Bret Jones, Airdrie Stud; Murphy; Bill Oppenheim, journalist and pedigree consultant; Dan Pride, Darley; Dr. J. David Richardson, chairman of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and its American Graded Stakes Committee; Rogers; and Elliott Walden, WinStar Farm.
