The start of another spectacular season at Del Mar produced all of the expected excitement and an electric atmosphere – plus something rather surprising and quite sensational.
The July 17 card at the track where the turf meets the surf was the third of the 2016 meet and it generated a six-figure Pick 6 from an unlikely source – a sequence with four winning favorites.
That Pick 6 started routinely with the favored Entrechat ($8.60) winning at 3-1 odds.
