Lady Aurelia continued preparations for a planned start in the Aug. 21 Prix Morny (Fr-I) at Deauville with a turf work the morning of July 27 at Keeneland.
The Scat Daddy filly covered four furlongs in :48 4/5, and galloped out in 1:03.
Trainer Wesley Ward called the work in company with Red Lodge on the turf course "really nice," and said the Stonestreet homebred remains on track for the race in France.
"We planned on giving her a little bit of freshening, and have been waiting a little bit for it to rain before she worked on the turf," Ward said.
Lady Aurelia is expected to ship out Aug. 13, sticking to the plan Ward had for her since she won the Queen Mary (Eng-II) last month at Ascot by seven lengths.
ANGST: Lady Aurelia Blowout Winner of Queen Mary
Lady Aurelia will make her third lifetime start at Deauville, seeking her third career victory after breaking her maiden at Keeneland in April and her successful European outing June 15.
She will be joined overseas by Acapulco, another Ward trainee who won the Queen Mary Stakes last year, and is targeting the Nunthorpe Stakes (Eng-I) at York. Another daughter of Scat Daddy, Acapulco comes into the Aug. 19 Nunthorpe off of two straight wins, including the May 14 Unbridled Sidney Stakes at Churchill Downs. She looks to extend that streak to three and improve upon her second-place finish in last year's edition of the Nunthorpe.
