Trainer Chris Hartman notched the 1,000th victory of his career Sunday, June 22 when Silver Rock Star prevailed by a neck in the seventh race at Prairie Meadows.
Hartman, who has trained horses throughout the Southwest and Midwest, picked up a graded stakes victory in 2011 when he saddled Schramsberg to a win in the John B. Connally Turf Cup Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Sam Houston Race Park.
Mr. and Mrs. G. David Shashura's Silver Rock Star was guided to victory in Sunday's 5 1/2-furlong claiming race by jockey Ken Tohill.
