Penn National Recoups Dates Lost to Weather

Penn National
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course has been granted approval by the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission to make up five racing programs that were cancelled earlier in the year because of adverse weather conditions.
"We appreciate getting the commission's approval to add these five cards back on our racing calendar" said Eric Johnston, Penn National's director of racing operations. "We scheduled 193 programs this year and we lost a total of eight days due to the elements. This will give our horsemen the opportunity to make up most of the lost races."
Penn National will be adding a Wednesday night card Sept. 28, and in October will race on all Wednesday nights (Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26). Post time for the cards will be 6 p.m. ET.
