Winning Cause after 2015 Red Bank victory

Amerman Racing Stables' Infinite Wisdom, lightly raced when compared with others in the field, seeks his third win in a row and first in a stakes in the $150,000 Oceanport (gr. IIIT) July 31 at Monmouth Park.

The Oceanport, for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/6 miles on the turf, is one of several supporting stakes on the New Jersey track's Betfair.com Haskell Invitational (gr. I) program.

Trained by Brian Lynch and to be ridden by Victor Lebron, Infinite Wisdom comes into the Oceanport off of two comfortable front-running victories in allowance races on the turf, one at Belmont Park May 8 and the latest June 11 in his only start so far at Monmouth. The 5-year-old Smart Strike gelding will cut back a sixteenth of a mile for the Oceanport.

Two entrants—Alto Racing's Winning Cause and Diamond Stable's War Dancer—were each supplemented for $5,000. Winning Cause (Giant's Causeway) hasn't raced since May 2015, when he won the Red Bank Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Monmouth for trainer Todd Pletcher, while War Dancer (War Front  ) exits a fourth-place finish in the Dominion Day Stakes (Can-III) on the Tapeta surface at Woodbine for trainer Bill Mott.
