Griffin Named Gulfstream Park West Caller

Gulfstream Park West announced Aug. 5 that Chris Griffin will serve as track announcer for the upcoming meet at the South Florida track. The meet begins Oct. 5.
Griffin, currently announcing on the California fair circuit, was also a guest handicapper at Hollywood Park and the Sonoma County Fair.
From 2011-15, Griffin, a native of California who now lives in Illinois, was the master of ceremonies, public address announcer, and play-by-play announcer for the Harlem Globetrotters.
"I am blessed to have the opportunity to announce the sport which I grew up on and love," Griffin said. "My goal is to provide accurate, energetic race calls that please the fans on-track and those watching at home and at simulcast sites. I would like to thank Gulfstream Park West and The Stronach Group. I'm living my dream and I hope the fans will hear that in my voice. I can't wait."
